খাঁটি বাঙালি স্বাদ
Rolls off the tawa, machher jhol simmered slow, and live Bangla bands every weekend. Nice ambience, honest prices, and a plate that keeps people coming back.
Panch phoron, mustard, garam masala. All roasted and ground in our own kitchen, never bought in packets.
Friday and Saturday the floor clears for rock, Rabindra Sangeet and Baul folk. Entry is usually free.
A full plate for the price of a snack elsewhere. That has not changed since the counter days.
Our story
FOODLanD started as a small counter on Old Calcutta Road serving rolls and chow to the Panshila crowd. Word travelled. Today the same kitchen turns out full Bengali thalis, Kolkata biryani and river fish curries, and on weekends the tables get pushed back for live Bangla bands.
We have kept two things unchanged since day one: the spices are ground in house, and nobody should have to spend a lot to eat well.
Live at Foodland
Every Friday and Saturday the lights go down and a Bangla band takes the floor. Rock, Rabindra Sangeet, Baul folk. No cover on most nights, just book a table early.
